Meckavo Sports has completed the Kilanki Turf project for Gideon Kharmawphlang, providing high-quality football turf construction in Shillong. The upgrade at Kilanki Turf in Nongrah, East Khasi Hills, Meghalaya, was finished for Gideon, who wanted a reliable football space that could support year-round play. Completed on 21 August 2025, the project included full net and turf installation across a 26x17.5x8 layout. This design aims to make the ground more suitable for training sessions, local matches, and small-sided games. Keeping Shillong’s heavy rainfall in mind, the work focused on creating a surface that performs well in all seasons, which is essential for modern football turf builders in India.
To create a durable and player-friendly field, Meckavo Sports selected premium artificial grass known for its cushioning, accurate ball roll, and long-lasting moisture resistance. The team also installed strong netting to keep the area secure and ready for play. Every layer, from base preparation to turf installation, was completed to meet the standards expected from expert football turf builders. This ensured that the final result meets both recreational and semi-training needs. Gideon provided excellent feedback after seeing the finished work.
