The Viru Turf project in Karur was designed with a clear goal: to create a cricket-ready space that offers players a dependable training environment throughout the year. Since this was a complete turnkey project, Meckavo Sports handled every element from the ground up, ensuring that the layout, measurements, and materials aligned perfectly with the customer’s expectations. With the site located on Kovil Street in Makkal Pathai, planning played a major role in converting the available land into a well-structured cricket zone.
A Large Semi-Circular Turf Layout Crafted for Better Play Movement
One standout feature of this project is its semi-circular layout, covering an impressive 29,846 sq. ft. This design allows bowlers, batsmen, and fielders enough freedom to move while keeping the space organized. The overall height clearance of 21 meters adds to the openness of the turf, allowing for high ball flight and natural cricket play without any obstacles. Every measurement was adjusted to support the rhythm and flow of the game.
